This article provides high level summary of Probe installation associated with 3.x CMS instance.

VSP Probes can be installed with the below two configurations on VM:

Without Proxy Server - In cases where the Probe instances have internet connection to communicate with SaaS CMS
With Proxy Server - In cases where the Probe instances do not have internet connection. The proxy server must be installed on the machine with internet connection. The communication from Probe to SaaS CMS is routed through this proxy server

NOTE

Installation of Probes on Containers is currently not supported on 3.x
