This article provides the required pre-requisites for VSP Probe on both VM and Container based environments.
Network Requirements (VM/Container)
Ensure that the nodes have connectivity to the below URLs/repositories during VSP Probe (Controller and vRule Engine) installation:

VM
Probe Pre-requisites
- The minimum idle requirements for VSP Probe are:
- Host and Memory Protection:
- Memory: 100-200 (MB)
- Disc: 100-200 (MB)
- Web Protection:
- Memory: 200-600 (MB)
- Disc: 500-600 (MB)
- Requires 400-500MB in /tmp partition during installation
- Host and Memory Protection:
- On Windows 2008 R2, ensure that the below are installed:
- Windows Patch: Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB4474419)
- Microsoft .Net Framework 4.0 or above
Embedded vRule Engine Pre-requisites:
The embedded vRule requirements are dependent on the number of enabled worker threads:
